School districts across Northeast Georgia are monitoring the potential for snow and ice on Friday. While some have already decided to close their doors, others are still waiting to see how the weather system develops before releasing Friday’s school schedule.
North Georgia and parts of central Georgia are under a Winter Storm Watch from Friday through Saturday. A watch means that heavy snow, sleet, or freezing rain is possible and that Georgians should begin preparing for potential power outages or dangerous road conditions.
