A Sautee teenager has been indicted for murder in the death of a North Hall gas station employee.
A Hall County grand jury on Monday indicted 19-year-old Talon Roame Lowery, according to the Gainesville Times. Lowery is charged with malice murder, felony murder, two counts each of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Lowery is accused of shooting 18-year-old Bryan Ramirez in the back with a rifle at the Cleveland Highway Texaco Thursday night. Investigators say the fatal shots were fired from a moving Ford F-150 pickup truck.
Officials say Ramirez was taking a break with a friend at the picnic table outside of the store when he was shot.
He was pronounced dead at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A Snapchat video of the shooting led investigators to Lowery. White County authorities found the suspect at his home and detained him until Hall investigators arrived. “Investigators obtained search warrants and retrieved the suspected murder weapon from the F150, which was also located at the suspect’s home,” according to a news release from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators are working to determine whether there was any relationship between the two teens and whether anyone else was in the truck at the time of the shooting.
