Stargazers were treated to a parade of shining lights Saturday as a ‘train’ of Starlink satellites passed overhead.
SpaceX launched 22 satellites aboard the Falcon 9 on August 31. They reached the highest point in their low-Earth orbit just before 9 p.m. on September 2.
Now Habersham readers shared their thoughts and photos after witnessing the Saturday night sky spectacle.
Nancie Lavender says she didn’t know what the satellites were until after she saw them, “so I was very confused and surprised.”
“It was pretty cool to see,” says Misty Barron, who spotted the satellite train above Mt. Airy, Georgia.
Mo Boudin saw the satellites pass overhead at St. John’s Island, South Carolina, commenting, “That was a bit crazy!”
