Royce Ray “Bud” Hamric age 81, of Cornelia Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 26th, 2019.
Mr. Hamric was born in Atalla, Alabama on April 17, 1938 to the late D. Ezra & Lois Jay Hamric. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 5 brothers.
Mr. Hamric went to Snead College. He was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church having served as a longtime deacon and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Hamric worked in the telecommunications industry for over 50 years of loyal and dedicated service, having retired from Windstream.
Survivors include; his beloved wife of 63 years, Imogene Hamric; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and David Nelson; Demorest, GA; Karen and Greg Tench of Cornelia , GA; Grandchildren and spouses Ashley & Adam Gurley, Josh & Lacey Tench, Sammi & Shawn Humphrys; grandchildren Jessi Tench; Jake Tench; great-grandchildren; Evie Humphrys, Henry Humphrys, Tennyson Gurley and Charlie Tench.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 28, 2019, at Level Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Brain James and Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm, Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel in Demorest Georgia.
