Roy Lee McIntyre, age 84, of Toccoa, Georgia, formerly of Clarkesville, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2020.
Mr. McIntyre was born on August 28, 1935, in Stephens County, Georgia to the late Arthur Vill McIntyre Sr. and Lessie Brown McIntyre. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Mauderie Gosnell McIntyre; sisters: Gladys King, Grace Pilgram, Christine Hicks, and Frances Chattam; brothers: Wayne McIntyre, Authur McIntyre, Jr., Vernon McIntyre, and Grady McIntyre. Mr. McIntyre was a member of the Old Nacochee Missionary Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He was retired from North Georgia Technical College having served in the Maintenance Department with 22 years of loyal and dedicated service.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kriene McIntyre, of Turnerville; Johnny and Vickie McIntyre, of Clarkesville; sons, Freddy McIntyre, of Clarkesville; Doug McIntyre, of Toccoa; sisters, Dorothy Smith, Doris Churchwell, both of Toccoa; Mildren Carter, Anges Marcus, both of Eastanollee; 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren also survive.
Private Graveside Services will be held at the Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Joel Shadburn officiating.
