Rosalyn Hulsey Brown, age 77, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, took the hand of Jesus and left her earthly body behind on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, now rejoicing in the place Jesus had prepared for her.
Mrs. Brown was born on January 12, 1947, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late William Jefferson Hulsey and Rosa Belle Garrett Hulsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip J. Hulsey, daughter-in-law, Lori Acrey Brown, and brothers-in-law, Jerry Pruitt and Mark T. Brown. She was an active member of Glade Creek Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Brown worked for over 25 years with Standard Telephone Company and then retired from Patterson Pump.
Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Henry Asbury Brown, of Mt. Airy; sons and daughters-in-law, James Henry Brown, of Baldwin; William Lee Churchwell and Robin, of Cleveland; Barron Asbury Brown and Terri, of Watkinsville; daughter, Lynn Churchwell Reeves, of Mt. Airy; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Regenia Hulsey Haygood and Billy, of Mt. Airy; sister, Debbie Hulsey Pruitt, of Mt. Airy; sisters-in-law, Nina Hulsey, and Linda Brown; brother-and-sister-in-law, Joe and Jacque Brown, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. Michael Justus and Dr. Logan Smith officiating. A private inurnment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the funeral home prior to the service.
