Robert “Bob” D. Stallings, age 70, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer for 12 years.
Mr. Stallings was born on September 4, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Robert and Maxine Walters Stallings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Kerri Stallings; daughter-in-law, Kimmie Stallings; and brother, Danny Stallings. Mr. Stallings retired from Delta Airlines with 35 years of service. After retirement, Bob was owner and operator of Stallings Aviation Consulting. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. Bob was also an avid golfer. He was adored by his grandchildren, who called him “Paw-Paw”.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Debbie Gray Stallings, of Myrtle Beach; son and daughter-in-law, Robert D. Stallings, Jr. and Roxanne Stallings, of McDonough; son, Brian Stallings, of Keller, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Stallings and Melissa Stallings, of Newnan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dotty and Jack Kinney, of Arlington, TN; Dina and Jon Foshee, of Germantown, TN; grandchildren, Katelyn, Robert, Jake, Cooper, Caleb, Kaylee, and Clover.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2020, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Pastor Jay Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2020, at the funeral home prior to the service.
