Robert Blair Dellinger, age 92, of Clayton, Georgia, went home on Saturday, March 24, 2018.
Mr. Dellinger was born on July 30, 1925 in Gastonia, North Carolina to the late David and Pearl Dellinger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frankie Dellinger; second wife, Nancy Jane Dellinger; daughter, Jan Richardson; sister, Louise Peeler; brothers, John Dellinger, Soke Dellinger; and granddaughter, Crystal Richardson. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Dellinger was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving in World War II. He retired from management in textile and manufacturing industries.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Josh Thomas, of Cornelia; son, Steve Dellinger, of Clayton; brother, D.A. Dellinger, of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Eddie, Sarah, Scarlett, Kendall, John, Connor, and Luke; great-grandchildren, Ondi, Zane, Avery, Sophie, and Kallie.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mount Airy, Georgia with Bishop Clay Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.
