The City of Clarkesville will host “Red, White & Tunes” on Friday evening, July 20th in Sam Pitts Park.
This free event features a Cruise In on the square, Duck Race in the Soque, family activities in the park, a live concert by the Fly Betty Band and a fireworks extravaganza capping off the evening.
Inflatable slides, as well as water sprinklers will provide pre-entertainment park activities beginning at 5:30pm.
Kona Ice and the Clarkesville Kiwanis Club will be serving concessions. The Soque River Duck Race, sponsored by Volunteers for Literacy, will start at 6pm in the river.
The Fly Betty Band will take the stage at 7:30PM. The Fly Betty Band is hailed as Atlanta’s favorite dance and party band and plays ALL dance and party music from the 70s to current radio hits.
Car show
In conjunction with the event, Red, White & Cruise – a Clarkesville Cruise-In- will take place in the upper parking lot of the old courthouse, adjacent to the gazebo at 6pm. All makes and models will be on display, and prizes will be awarded. There is no fee to enter, and registration begins at 5pm.
Final judging will take place at 8pm, and participants are encouraged to stay for the concert and fireworks.
The spectacular fireworks show is presented by Billy Cain Ford/Lincoln of Cornelia, South State Bank and the City of Clarkesville.
