Chris and Christy Jones, owners of Red Bird Acres, have outdone themselves once again, and this year’s holiday display is sure to surpass all expectations.
Red Bird Acres Christmas Lights will open on November 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 1164 East Glade Creek Road in Clarkesville, Georgia. The display will stay open through the holidays and may be viewed Sunday through Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
Ways to help
The Jones family begins preparing this dazzling spectacle in late October, transforming their property into a Christmas wonderland, welcoming all who visit.
“A lot of people have asked over the years how they can help or what they can do for us,” said Chris Jones. “So this year, we’re asking for volunteers.”
With a few family members tied up with other obligations, the Jones family is seeking extra hands to help make this year’s display run smoothly.
Volunteers are needed to manage the parking lot and assist with the light displays.
This will help organize the area and improve the overall experience for visitors. Volunteers typically work 3 to 4 hours on Friday and Saturday nights, and the Jones family is hoping to fill these spots every weekend through Christmas Day. If you’re interested in helping out, sign up here.
Enjoying the lights
Guests can wander along beautifully lit pathways, marveling at themed exhibits that fill the air with holiday magic.
As you stroll, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, say hello to Santa, or maybe even run into the Grinch!
The Jones family never forgets the true meaning of Christmas. Among the 2000 feet of twinkling lights, you’ll find a beautiful cross, manger, and chapel, reminding visitors of the season’s spirit.
