Today’s featured article is written by Meredith Kemp Lleshi, a missionary living in Albania and native of Habersham County.
Have you ever wanted to go on a mission trip, or take a group, but didn’t know where to start? What if there were a native of Habersham county living in a country with a majority Muslim population that was wide open for the gospel? What if this country had over 20 years experience in hosting groups and had projects ready for your group to plug into? What if they could even tailor a project specifically to your group? Well, look no further!
Meredith Kemp Lleshi is a native of Habersham County (HCHS, Class of 1991) who has been living in Albania since 1997. She is married to Petrit Lleshi, an Albanian national, and they have three children. Meredith is a part of CRU Albania, which has more than 100 Albanian nationals working to reach out to students, business people, families, and government leaders, as well as other groups. The Albania ministry is also sending out Albanians into other hard-to-reach countries.
Some of the many projects they offer are:
-English summer camps – you would spend a week using your native English teaching/sharing with college and/or high school students
-Community Outreaches – come alongside a church-planting team and do various activities (VBS-type, sports tournaments, medical clinics, etc.) in a neighborhood, to build contacts and credibility for the team
-Business/Professional seminars – Use your given profession to help train Albanians in the same field. You can share your testimony as well. Our Albanian staff will continue to follow-up those relationships.
-“Taste and See” (Ps.34:8) – This project is a ministry tour tailored to your specific group. They will give you a “taste” of many things that God is doing in Albania in order to allow you to better plan for future involvement with the ministry here.
The Lleshis will be in Habersham County this summer from mid-June to mid-August, and would love to meet with anyone who has an interest in Albania. If you would like more information, please contact Meredith at [email protected].
It will be an adventure which will not only change your life, but the lives of others for the Kingdom of God.
