We’re ten games into the 2017 season for the Raiders, and there’s much to like.
Habersham Central is now 7-3 following a 15-0 blasting of Cedar Shoals on March 3. Just two days prior, they also cruised past Duluth 13-5 on March 1 and that was preceded by an 11-0 February 27 win over East Jackson.
The Raiders have now scored 88 runs, which is nearly nine per game on average. The three game win streak will be on the line with Chestatee up next on the slate. The War Eagles travel to Habersham on March 8, and the two play again in Gainesville two days later.
The Raiders are 4-1 at home this season and have scored more than six runs in eight of their ten games. Although player stats are not complete on MaxPreps, with five games’ stats entered, Seth Blackburn (.529 avg), Hunter Ingle (.389), Brandon Mitchell (.333) and Jarred Jones (.312) have all had excellent starts to the season.
In half of the games with stats available, Jones tallied six RBI, while Blackburn added four.
