Habersham’s Raider Baseball Camp has completed its first Advanced Session and continues on Monday, June 6 with Fundamentals and Intermediate Sessions.
Raiders baseball coach Chris Akridge leads the 2016 Raider Baseball Camp. See below for full details, including a description of each session.
Participants for each session will be grouped according to age and will receive thorough instruction of offensive and defensive fundamentals from Raider Baseball coaches, players, and former Raiders now playing collegiately. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt.
Fundamentals Session (Ages 4-5) & Intermediate Session (Ages 6-10): June 6-9, 8:30 am – 11:30 am daily
Advanced Session (Ages 11-14): May 31-June 2, June 6-9, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm daily
Fundamentals Session: Ages 4-5. The daily schedule for these young, Future Raiders will be structured to ensure a low Camper-to-Coach ratio and to ensure that they are actively engaged and having fun learning the fundamentals of the game of baseball! They will also participate in contests, games, and scrimmages.
Intermediate Session: Ages 6-10. Players will be introduced to more in-depth instruction than given in the Fundamentals Session and will have the opportunity for instruction at all defensive positions. Daily schedule will be structured to maximize time and ensure that each camper is actively involved and having fun while being challenged through drill sessions, scrimmages, contests & games.
Advanced Session: Ages 11-14. This intense, two-week camp will challenge players beyond their previous baseball experiences and is sure to help each player grow in all phases of the game. Instruction will include offensive and defensive fundamentals, situational hitting (two-strike hitting, hit & run, hitting off-speed pitches, etc.), team defensive situations (holding runners, bunt defense, cuts & relays, pick-offs, rundowns, defensive communication, etc.) and base-running (leading off, stealing bases, base-running situations, etc.). Players will participate in intra-squad scrimmages receiving in-game instruction on all phases of the game. Players will be divided into two teams for the last two days of the camp and will play an “Orange/Blue” Series with the winning team receiving Champion t-shirts.
Cost: Fundamentals & Intermediate Session: $80
Advanced Session (7 Days): $150

Location: Raider Park at Wilbanks Middle School
*Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, but registration will be allowed the day of.
*Each player should come prepared for indoor and outdoor activities (tennis shoes and cleats).
*Camps will be held rain or shine
