Qualifying underway for Cleveland City Council seats

Qualifying begins today, Monday, August 16, for two seats on the Cleveland City Council. The city will be conducting a general election on Tuesday, November 4.

The election will be for two city council seats, Districts 3 and 4. Those positions are currently held by Jeremy McClure, District 3, and CJ McDonald, District 4.  The positions will be elected at large for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2026.

The election will be held at The Bridge Church, located at 607 Hulsey Road, Cleveland.

Qualifying for the offices will run through Friday, August 22, at the office of the City Clerk at Cleveland City Hall, 85 South Main Street, Cleveland. The hours of qualifying will be from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The qualifying fees for the two positions will be $108 each.
