Qualifying for May 21 General Primary begins next week

Qualifying for the May 21 General Primary Election begins next Monday, March 4. Qualifying hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, March 4-7, and 9 a.m. to noon Friday, March 8.

Locations for qualifying are as follows:

The Habersham County Republican Party will conduct its own qualifying at The Norton Agency, 855 Washington Street, Clarkesville, (706) 754-5700.

The Habersham County Democratic Party has filed a letter requesting that the Election Supervisor conduct that party’s qualifying, which will take place at the new Habersham County Elections and Voter Registration Office, 403 Habersham County Shopping Center on 441 Bypass, Cornelia (down from Belk and Pizza Hut), (706) 839-0170.

Candidates who plan to run as an independent in November must qualify at the Elections and Voter Registration Office, 403 Habersham County Shopping Center on 441 Bypass, Cornelia (down from Belk and Pizza Hut), (706) 839-0170.
