Voters in North Georgia are expressing mixed reactions to Monday night’s presidential debate. The debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York was the first public face-off between Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump.
The 90-minute affair billed as “The Debate of the Century” lived up to its moniker, at least in terms of viewership. More than 80 million people tuned in, making it the most watched debate ever, according to Nielsen research. And that doesn’t include the multitude of live-streaming options viewers had.

The debate blew up on social media, becoming the most- tweeted debate in history. Twitter says the most tweeted topics related to the economy, foreign affairs, energy and the environment, terrorism and guns.
Most political analysts and national media outlets declared Clinton the winner but whether it’s enough to stop her recent decline in the polls has yet to be seen. Both candidates are hoping to make significant inroads with undecided voters between now and election day on November 8.
