Public input is being sought in the search for a new Habersham Central High School head football coach. An online survey is now available to the community. The survey is posted on the Habersham County Schools website at https://www.habershamschools.com/ and on the official Habersham Football website at https://habershamfootball.com/.
Board of Education member Patsy Taylor requested that public input be considered when the search was launched on November 18, 2014. School Superintendent Matthew Cooper instructed HCHS Athletic Director Geep Cunningham to work with Director of Secondary Schools Pam Dalton in preparing the survey.
Survey results will be collected and shared with the Coach Search Committee. Cunningham leads that committee. Others on the five-member panel include HCHS principal Wes McGee, former NFL coach and Clarkesville resident Chan Gailey, former HCHS football players and WCON Radio sports announcers David Foster and Chris Black.
Head football coach Michael Pollock resigned on November 13 after two years on the job. The Raiders won one game under Coach Pollock.
