The Demorest City Council will hold a public hearing on the city’s proposed 2015 budget tonight. The hearing is part of the council’s regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
Also on tonight’s agenda, Demorest City Council will vote on an amendment to the city’s alcohol ordinance and consider a resolution for response and recovery for the Demorest Fire Department. The city council also will consider a resolution authorizing the Georgia General Assembly to name the Central Avenue/Hwy. 441 bridge in honor of hometown baseball legend Johnny Mize.
The Demorest City Council meets tonight, December 2, at 7 p.m. at the Demorest Municipal Building.
