Storms swept through Habersham this evening with warnings still in effect until late this evening. High winds, driving rain and lightening causing damage across the county. Georgia Power crews are spread across the northern areas of Habersham around Batesville and Tallulah Falls responding to reported outages effecting over 500 customers. HEMC is reporting less than 100 without power. No estimates on when the power will be restored. Crews will be out through the night working to restore power.
