Thousands of people are expected to converge on Raider Stadium in Mt. Airy tonight for graduation. Law enforcement will be out in full force directing traffic but if you want to make sure to get a parking space you’d better get there early.
Graduation begins at 8 p.m. Two hours prior to that – at 6 p.m. – a portion of Camp Creek Road near the high school will be closed between Highway 197 South and Owens Circle (see map above).
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office says only graduates and faculty with proper ID will be allowed to enter Camp Creek Road past Owens Circle. Graduates and faculty will park in the rear parking lot of Habersham Central High School.
The road will remain closed until graduation is over and all parking lots are cleared.
