Pinetree Plunge: A splash for a cause in Lumpkin County

Held in the heart of Lumpkin County on March 8, this unique event invites brave participants to take a plunge into the icy waters of Pinetree Pool while raising funds to support the county’s dedicated swim team. The event starts at 10 a.m. and continues to 12 p.m.

The Pinetree Plunge combines the excitement of wintertime watersports with a spirit of community, fun, and philanthropy. On the day of the plunge, participants gather at the beautiful Pinetree Pool, with anticipating temperatures of 50 degrees. It’s not just about taking the plunge; it’s about making a meaningful splash in the lives of young swimmers and the community.

The centerpiece of the event is the daring plunge. Participants take the challenge of jumping into the brisk waters of Pinetree Pool located at 215 Pinetree Way, Dahlonega, GA.

Participants pay $5 for the plunge and have a chance to win a coveted t-shirt for bragging rights as prizes for the many games planned. T-shirts are also available to purchase for $20.
