Piedmont’s Seth George named USA South Pitcher of the Week

The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly Athlete of the Week honor roll with junior SETH GEORGE earning USA South Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

George’s honor comes after earning a pair of victories over the weekend against Christopher Newport and #6 Birmingham-Southern. The junior from Candler, North Carolina tossed 4.2 scoreless innings including three complete innings against BSC to keep the Lions in the contest as both victories for George came on walkoff hits by ANDREW BURDEN, last week’s USA South Player of the Week.

The USA South Athletic Conference announces its weekly honor roll each Monday and at least half of the teams in a sport must have competed within the previous week for honors to be awarded.
