Piedmont’s Brady Ballstadt named third team All-South Region by D3baseball.com

Sophomore BRADY BALLSTADT has been named to the 2017 D3baseball.com All-South Region Third Team marking his first time on the listing.

The center fielder for the Lions also earned first team all-conference honors in the USA South for his achievements in 2017.

The sophomore from Suwanee, Georgia posted a .346 batting average on the season starting all 44 contests for the Lions in center field. The sophomore slugger led the team in runs, hits, doubles and homeruns while having 98 total bases, the best in the NCAA era program history.

The 2017 season marks the sixth year that D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with 800 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region, as well as D3baseball.com staff and contributors.
