
For the first time since 2019, the Piedmont women’s basketball team is going dancing in the NCAA Tournament playing at Randolph-Macon, as first round match-ups and hosts were announced on Monday afternoon.
After earning a bid as an automatic qualifier, the Lions will head to Ashland, Virginia to take part in the opening round hosted by Randolph-Macon where they will face the host Yellow Jackets.
Randolph-Macon won the ODAC Tournament and is ranked #18 entering the NCAA Tournament. Game times will be announced later today with action taking place on Friday, March 7.
The Lions are coming off winning their first ever Collegiate Conference of the South Tournament Championship, taking down Belhaven 64-51 on Saturday.
Nae-Nae Eades was named Tournament MVP for her efforts in the contest and joined on the All-Tournament team by Andelin Hill and Ashley Scott.
