“Great Scenes from Great Operas” is the theme for this year’s concert by the Piedmont College Opera Workshop class. The free concert will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9, in the Chapel, located at 992 Central Avenue, Demorest.
Singers include Piedmont students Amin Abraham-Quiles, Mitchell Auger, Albert Gerring, Megan Holder, Kelly Hood, Lydie Koffi, Leah Mooney, Elizabeth Parmer, and Ben Rikeman. The scenes, performed in English, will include selections from Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” and “The Impressario,” Verdi’s “Falstaff,” Bizet’s “Carmen,” and Sullivan’s “Trial By Jury.”
