Police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old Cleveland woman who died after being hit by a vehicle late Monday night.
Courtney D. Kirkpatrick was fatally injured while crossing the street at North Main and Allison Drive, according to WRWH News. The accident happened shortly after 11 p.m.
Cleveland Police Chief John Foster says Kirkpatrick was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical were she died from her injuries. He says the driver, 27-year old Dale N. Hightower also of Cleveland, remained on scene.
Cleveland Police are investigating the accident with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol, White County Sheriff’s Office, and White County Coroner’s office.
