The Peach State FCU C.A.R.E.S. Foundation has launched its application process for the 2025 Scholarship Program, which will award over $277,000 in scholarships and educational grants. The program is designed to provide graduating high school seniors and adult members with support for higher education at colleges, trade/tech schools, or career advancement classes.
“As annual education costs continue to rise, this program helps mitigate some of the financial burdens they face with pursuing their degree,” said Demitra Houlis, Peach State’s Chief Administrative Officer and Foundation President.
The scholarship program pays homage to the credit union’s background in education. It recognizes its founders, past and present board members, employees, and distinguished school system and community leaders.
Applications will be accepted through February 28, 2025, with recipients being selected and notified in the Spring of 2025. Interested applicants can visit peachstatefcu.org/scholarships to learn more, review the eligibility criteria and apply.
The Peach State FCU C.A.R.E.S. Foundation is funded through the credit union’s Visa Debit Card program and private donors. It has donated over $2 million to charitable organizations, school systems, and the arts since its launch in July 2019.
The C.A.R.E.S. program will ensure those donations continue to grow and be available in the future. To learn more about the Foundation and its offerings, visit peachstatefcu.org/CARES. Peach State is a $1 billion financial cooperative serving over 70,000 members in Georgia and South Carolina.
