Paul Quinton Copeland, age 75, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
Mr. Copeland was born on September 13, 1942, in Brunswick, Georgia; a son of the late Herbert and Helen Kirkland Copeland. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Copeland Alphin and brother, James Copeland. Mr. Copeland was a United States Marine Corps veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the Georgia State Patrol with over 20 years of service. Mr. Copeland was a member of Griffin First Assembly of God. He was a Yaarab Temple Mason Shriner and a member of the Georgia Peace Officers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Suk Cha “Sunny” Copeland of Clarkesville; daughter, Paige Copeland of Canton; sons, Paul “Chip” Quinton Copeland, Jr. of Mobile, AL and George Grandis Copeland of Richmond, VA; sister, Ann Rena Lary of Brunswick; brother-in-law, Ron Alphin of Hortense; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
