Otis Parr, age 63, of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at his home.
Born June 21, 1959, in Maysville, he was the son of the late George Otis Dalton and Cleo Parr. He was raised in the home of Bobby and Brenda Barrett and was a graduate of Habersham Central High School. He worked as a truck driver for Lindsay Windows South. He was a member of the Alto Congregational Holiness Church and attended Skitts Mountain Baptist Church.
He is survived by his adoptive parents: Bobby and Brenda Barrett; siblings: Kim Thompson, Keith Barrett (Linda), Tina Franklin (David), and Chris Brown; half-sister & half-brother: Louise Dalton & Richard Dalton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-sister: Ann Dalton.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2022, at New Vision Worship Center, 335 L C Turner Road, Baldwin, GA 30511, with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Kyle Savage officiating. Burial will follow in Alto Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery with Rev Mickey Umbehant officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers David Fountain, Joe Gee, Joseph Mayes, Gary Turner, Jeff Turner, Ricky Walden.
