Officials have identified the victim of Saturday’s fatal motorcycle crash in Cornelia as 33-year old Jeffery Jerry Jones of Gillsville.
The accident was reported around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of J. Warren Road and Level Grove Road.
Georgia State Patrol TFC Travis Sanders says Jones was traveling north on J. Warren Road when “he lost control of (the) 2000 Kawasaki ZX9 that he was driving while trying to negotiate a curve and struck a tree.”
County Coroner Kasey McEntire says Jones died of “multiple blunt force injuries”. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
