One Book wraps up tonight at HCHS

gfx-OneBookHabersham_FinalLogo-01The inaugural community reading event One Book Habersham, Together We Read wraps up this evening with two special events at Habersham Central High School. An open discussion on the featured book Martina the Beautiful Cockroach takes place at 6:30pm in the Habersham Central High School cafeteria. That will be followed at 7:30pm by storytelling with the book’s renowned author, Carmen Agra Deedy, in the HCHS Fine Arts Auditorium.

Both events are free and open to the public.

Carmen Agra Deedy spent the past two days reading to and talking with children in local elementary schools. She was joined Wednesday by Pam Williams, Governor Nathan Deal’s Education Outreach Coordinator. Williams read Martina to third graders at Cornelia Elementary School.
