Ohlen O’Neal “Bo” Miller

Ohlen O’Neal “Bo” Miller, age 67 of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Augusta, Georgia on October 30, 1949, he was a son of the late Norman Lewis Miller, Sr. & Lillian Doris Duncan Miller. Mr. Miller served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bo was a very loving husband, father, & grandfather who will be missed tremendously.  He once owned a race car where he enjoyed driving at the dirt tracks and drag strips for many years. Bo was an avid wrestling fan and was known in the local wrestling world as “The Strap Master” and “Papa Buck.” He also won many awards while participating in local Chili Cook-Offs where he was known as “The Grill Master.” Bo was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ann Garrett & Ellie Miller.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Wanda Newsome Miller of Baldwin, GA; daughters & son-in-law, Laura Jones Winkles & Jimmy Winkles of Maysville, GA; April S. Brown of Marietta, GA; brother, Norman Lewis Miller, Jr. of Augusta, GA; 7 grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Harmony Baptist Church, 5223 Highway 441 Bypass, Baldwin, Georgia 30511, with Speaker Franklin Dove officiating. Interment will follow in the VFW Memorial Park Cemetery in Demorest with military honors provided by the United States Army, Grant Reeves VFW Post # 7720, Habersham County American Legion Post # 84, and the Rabun County DAV Chapter # 15.

The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour on Saturday.
