A big Now Habersham shout out to the men and women of the Habersham County Fire Department. This week they gave Santa Claus a hand by assisting a single mom and her two kids.
These Santa’s Helpers delivered clothes and toys to the family in a fire truck. (Beat that, Santa!)
Firefighter Lacy Nunnally says of the outing, “I believe we all received just as much joy as the family did!”
While their Christmas spirit and smiles shine through this time of year, we know our local firefighters give to our community every day of the year through their hard work and dedication. They’re called away from their families at all hours of the day and night, often work in miserable weather conditions and put their lives on the line to keep us safe.
Now that’s worth a shout out and our gratitude every day of the year!
