The White County Lady Warriors reached the end of their state title run Tuesday, losing to Monroe in the first round of the Elite 8.
The Lady Warriors traveled to Albany to take on the Golden Tornadoes. They jumped out to a strong start, leading through the first three periods. However, Monroe mounted an 11-0 run in the fourth period, pulling ahead of the Warriors.
The Warriors had one final chance to tie it up and go into overtime but were unable to score the winning point. Monroe ended up winning the game 67-64.
