Northeast Georgia woman charged with trafficking meth

Local authorities charged a Jackson County woman with drug trafficking after citizens’ complaints led them to her home. Cachet Nicole Roberts, 31, of Nicholson, is charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of heroin.

According to a press release from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, on January 8 one of their agents received information drugs were being sold from a residence at 29 J S Williamson Court. “The agent had received citizen complaints in the past about the residence,” says ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Trent Hillsman.

ARDEO Agents and Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at the address. According to Hillsman, they found Roberts in possession of approximately 3.5 ounces of methamphetamine and 3 grams of heroin.

The methamphetamine has a street value of $1,200 and the heroin has a street value of $375.

Officers arrested Roberts without incident and booked her into the Jackson County jail.

The investigation is still active and ongoing.
