#1 Jefferson 45, #2 Stephens County 28
Stephens County took a 14-0 lead with a Davon Swinton pick-6 and a Javin Gordon rushing score. But then came the Dragons. Mickell Pittman had a TD run and Taylor McCall got a FG before the half, making it 14-10. In the third, it was all Dragons. Jefferson got TDs from Rett Hemphill, Dallas Russell, and a Gavin Markey-Hemphill incredible play. Sandwiched between that was a Tripp Underwood 44-yd TD to Brock Tankersley. But it was 31-21 Jefferson heading into the fourth. The Indians got a TD from Underwood to Gordon, but the Dragons added a couple more with a Markey 1-yd plunge and a Hemphill 68-yd rushing score to cap it off.

Dawson County 14, Banks County 7
In a contest against teams both looking for traction, it was the Tigers who won this cat-fight in a 14-7 final. Luke Smith had 2 big interceptions, including one to seal the game. The Leopards had more goal-line stands against them. Dawson struck first with a Preston Bannister 43-yd TD to Chatham Burnett. The Leopards tied it in the second. To start the third, Dawson went ahead on a Bannister-Burnett 18-yd TD, proving to be the game-winner.
Lumpkin County 49, Dunwoody 35
The Indians picked up a huge 49-35 win over Dunwoody. Cal Faulkner had a big game. Lumpkin scored on 5 of its 6 first half possessions, including a 1-yd TD just before the break by their star QB. Nolan Matthews had 3 rushing TDs, one a 27-yarder in the second and a 31-yarder in the first. He had over 100 yards rushing in the first period alone. Faulkner had a 72-yd TD run midway through the third for the 42-14 lead. Faulkner finished with a 1-yd TD late in the game to ice it.
#3 Rabun County 35, Dalton 13
Reid Giles had a night! He opened the game with a TD run in the first before Dalton responded with a FG. Lake Evans got the next one, a 1-yd TD late in the quarter. Dalton responded with a 40-yd TD, making it a 14-10 game heading into the second. That held to the half. Giles got a 50-plus yarder to push it to 21-10 in the third, and the visitors added another FG in response. Giles added 2 more TDs to make it a 35-13 lead late in the game.
Union County 49, Murray County 6
The Panthers had a huge game offensively and defensively, earning their first win of the season over Murray County, 49-6.
#6 Cherokee Bluff 31, Habersham Central 24
The Raiders nearly came away with a top-10 victory, but couldn’t muster enough to counter an undefeated Cherokee Bluff Bears team.
White County 55, #10 East Jackson 27
It was an incredible game by Tripp Nix and the Warriors, and a signature win over #10 East Jackson, 55-27. After going down 7-0, Nix tied it with a 24-yd TD to Zach Godfrey. He then had 25-yd and 4-yd TD runs to push White County up 21-7 after one. In the second, Gaines Clark had a 75-yd punt return for a TD. A Nix-Sawyer Gailey 43-yd TD then made it 35-14, and Nix’s next TD from 2 yards out made it 42-14. AT THE HALF! Hayden Vandegriff had a 39-yd FG, and a bit later Nix hit Gaines for an 11-yd TD, and Vandegriff added a 25-yd FG for good measure. Nix accounted for 6 total TDs (3 rushing, 3 passing) as White County gets that fist dub.
Commerce 28, Madison County 12
Jacari Huff opened the scoring with an 11-yd TD to put the Tigers up 7-6 in the first. He got another midway through the second, as Commerce led 14-6 at the break. In the second half, Jaiden Daniels got a 64-yd TD, his first of the season, as the Tigers won 28-12.
