Two Maysville men face charges after a major drug bust in Northeast Georgia.
64-year-old Lewis Junior Hall and 46-year-old Christopher Lewis Hall were arrested Tuesday, Feb. 25, at a residence at 460 Horseshoe Bend in Maysville.
Agents with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO), Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, and other state and local law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant on the residence. During the search, they seized one kilogram of methamphetamine, a quarter pound of marijuana, and a firearm, according to ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Trent Hillsman. He says the bust is the result of a three-month-long investigation.
The street value of the meth is approximately $50,000.
Lewis Hall is charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Christopher Hall is charged with possessing methamphetamine and marijuana with intent to distribute.
The Banks County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State Patrol, Department of Community and Supervision, and GBI helped execute the search warrant.
The investigation is still active, according to Hillsman.
