Georgia saw a significant early voter turnout, with over 4 million active registered voters casting their ballots before Election Day, according to data from the Georgia Election Data Hub. This represents over 55% of the state’s 7.2 million registered voters.

Early voting in Georgia concluded on Friday, November 1. Of the total early votes, 3.7 million were cast in person, while approximately 242,000 mail-in ballots were received and accepted.

Northeast Georgia turnout

Northeast Georgia counties dominated the early voter turnout charts. Towns County led the state with a 72.1% turnout rate, followed by Oconee County at 70.55%. Absentees and Election Day

As for absentee ballots, Georgia voters requested 343,498 mail-in ballots, of which 241,907 had been returned and accepted by the end of early voting. Voters can track their absentee ballots through Georgia’s My Voter Page on the Secretary of State’s website.

For those voting absentee by mail, ballots must be received by the county registrar’s office before polls close on Election Day to be counted. Voters are encouraged to deliver their ballots in person or through a designated family member if mailing at this point is unlikely to ensure timely delivery.

For Election Day voting, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must cast their ballots at their designated precincts, which can be confirmed through the state’s My Voter Page.
