Memorial Day services will be held across Northeast Georgia on Monday, May 30, to remember and honor those who have died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Here is a list of regional events. If you have a Memorial Day observance to add to this list, please email [email protected].

Dawson County

  • Memorial Day Service 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park on Recreation Road in Dawsonville.

Franklin County

  • Memorial Service 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in Carnesville.

Habersham County

  • Memorial Day Ceremony 10 a.m. at the VFW Memorial Park on Smith Loop Road in Demorest. The ceremony will be hosted by Grant Reeves VFW Post 7720.
  • Candlelight Service at 7 p.m. at the war monument near the gazebo in downtown Clarkesville.

Hall County

  • Memorial Day Parade 10 a.m. from First Baptist Church Gainesville down Green Street to EE Butler Parkway.
  • Remembrance Ceremony 10 a.m. at Veterans Park on Main Street in Lula.
  • Memorial Day Concert 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Gainesville on Green Street.

Hart County

  • Memorial Day Ceremony 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Hartwell.

Rabun County

  • Memorial Day Ceremony 11 a.m. at the Rabun County Courthouse located at 25 Courthouse Square in Clayton.

Stephens County

  • Memorial Day Observance 11 a.m. in the pavilion at Camp Toccoa at Currahee. Those who attend are welcome to bring and present wreaths of remembrance during the observance.
