The North Georgia Wildlife Park in White County will host a Teacher Appreciation Day on Saturday, August 22. The park is offering free admission to area public and private school teachers and staff and their families on that day. A similar event will be held for homeschool teachers later, explains NGWP Marketing Director Katelyn Dunlap.

“Being a teacher has never been easy, but with the arrival of COVID-19, it suddenly became much more difficult,” says Dunlap. “At North Georgia Wildlife Park, we want our area schoolteachers and school staff to know that we love you and appreciate all you do! You are among the most essential of all our essential workers.”

Teacher Appreciation Day will run from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on August 22. Teachers and staff must present their school ID for free admission. Guests will be socially distanced while viewing dozens of animals from the comfort of their cars. Snacks may be purchased to toss to the animals while driving past them.

North Georgia Wildlife Park is located at 2912 Paradise Valley Road, Cleveland, GA. Visit www.ngwpark.com for more information.
