The North Georgia Technical College Foundation has awarded two Blairsville Scottish Festival Scholarships for Summer Semester to students attending the Blairsville Campus.
The funds were donated by the Festival Committee in honor of Jim and Linda McAfee as part of their community outreach activities. The 14th Annual Festival will be held June 9-11, at Meeks Park with thousands of visitors enjoying the beauty and hospitality of the Blairsville area.
Scholarships were awarded to Magdalena Espinoza, a Phlebotomy Tech student who graduates at the end of summer semester, and Jade Aguilar who is enrolled in the Health Care Science Program and hopes to continue her education in the Associate of Science in Nursing Program. These students were chosen based on their GPA, recommendation by instructors and documented financial need.
