Norman Dove, Jr., age 74, of Canon, entered rest Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the St. Mary’s Hospital, Athens.
Norman was born October 14, 1947, in Royston to the late Norman, Sr. & Vonnie Sue Osley Dove. He served his country in the United States Army and also, the National Guard retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He worked until retirement in shipping at Auto Zone. He was a member & Deacon of Grace Baptist Church in Royston. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn Hart Dove.
Survivors include sons, Nathaniel (Rebecca) Dove & Stephen (Priscilla) Dove; grandchildren, Shelby & Oliver Dove; sisters, Mary Alice Hammond & JoAnn Hart; brothers, John R. Dove, Robert Dove & Thomas Dove; a number of nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Grace Baptist Church, Royston with Rev. Andy Huff & Rev. Rosco Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Bowers Memorial Park Cemetery in Canon. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Grace Baptist Church in Royston.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the building fund at Grace Baptist Church, P.O. Box 183 Royston, GA 30662.
