Norman D. Fries, age 75, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on July 7, 2022.
Mr. Fries was known as “Norm” and he loved spending his time with his beloved wife in the Georgia Mountains, riding his Harley, and walking his dogs. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army having served two tours in Vietnam. Norm spent his career in mechanical engineering with a passion for designing robots. In his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his dog, “Sir Creed”.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Fries; daughter and son-in-law, Tracey Fries Snooks and Kirt; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Fries and Laura; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan Fries and Nicole; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Fries Fork and Andrew; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Santos and Tom; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the funeral home prior to the service.
