The fire was set in the men’s restroom of the restaurant on Carpenter’s Cove Lane around 6:45 p.m. on July 5. A diner and firefighters extinguished the blaze. The State Fire Marshal’s Office quickly determined it was arson.

Although the incident occurred during the height of the evening dinner hour, officials say they’ve received no leads or information from potential witnesses.

“We have exhausted all of our information we gathered from the scene,” says state fire and insurance commissioner spokesperson Weston Burleson. “Therefore, the case is dormant at this point pending any further leads that may arise.”

Georgia Arson Control is still offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Anyone with information about this fire is urged to contact the State Fire Investigations Unit at 1-800-282-5804.
