No Injuries After Tree Falls Across Highway And Hits Vehicle

(Cleveland)- No one was injured Friday afternoon when a tree fell on a west bound vehicle as it was traveling Highway 115, West of Cleveland.

Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt said another vehicle traveling east was unable to stop, due to ice on the roadway, and ran into the downed tree.

The accident was reported around 1:30 PM on Highway 115 near the intersection of Town Creek Road.

The roadway was cleared just before 3 PM. All occupants were evaluated by White County Emergency Medical Service personnel at the scene and no one was transported to the hospital.

Traffic had to be detoured around the area because the tree blocked all lanes of traffic.
