No citizens attend second opt out public hearing at Mt. Airy

No citizens attended the second public hearing for HB 581 at Mt. Airy. The town council held the hearing to possibly opt out of HB 581 at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The public hearing lasted less than a minute.

Local governments must hold three public hearings prior to opting out of HB 581.

The third and final public hearing for Mt. Airy to possibly opt out of HB 581 will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. It will be held at Mt. Airy Town Hall located at 1231 Dicks Hill Parkway in Mt. Airy.
