Brandon Provitera, an audiovisual/information technology specialist from Toccoa, has won the 2024 Employee of the Year Award at North Georgia Technical College’s annual service awards ceremony.

Provitera was nominated by fellow staff members and was praised for his friendliness, knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond for the college. He has been employed at the college since 2014 and previously served in positions such as technical support specialist, library assistant, and library work study. He graduated from NGTC in 2016 with a networking specialist associate degree.

“It means a lot to me to be recognized as Employee of the Year,” said Provitera. “I really appreciate everyone at the college and in my department fostering such a great work environment. Without them and their encouragement, I would not have risen to the heights I am today. It’s a blessing; thank you once again.”

Savonda Turner, NGTC information technology director, said, “Brandon stands out for his exemplary customer service, outstanding work ethic, and dedication to the college. He embodies a consistently positive attitude that has significantly contributed to the spirit of our IT team and is an exceptional example of excellence among NGTC employees. It is a pleasure to work alongside someone of Brandon’s caliber.”

The Employee of the Year award was presented to Provitera by NGTC President John Wilkinson during the annual service awards luncheon.
