Students, faculty and staff turned out to honor the men and women who served in our nation’s Armed Forces. The Hall County Honor Guard presented the colors, setting the stage for the patriotic event.

NGTC Student Government Association (SGA) members and students who are veterans filled the program’s agenda. SGA Member Hannah Stowe led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance, student Courtney Russell sang the National Anthem, Veteran Erika Radford was the special guest speaker, and 2015 NGTC Goal Winner and veteran Jason Egerton read a moving poem and led the crowd in a moment of silence.

Closing out the program, NGTC President Dr. Mark Ivester thanked the group of veterans for their service. He also thanked the audience for coming out to show their appreciation for such a special group of men and women.

SGA President, Deion Penland, drew the day’s events to a close with some parting remarks and the Hall County Color Guard retired the colors.

The event was sponsored by the NGTC Student Government Association and NGTC Foundation.
