NGTC Medical Assisting program ranked #1 in the state

North Georgia Technical College recently earned the number one ranking as Best Medical Assistant Program in Georgia by the online resource Medical Assistant Advice. This is the second consecutive year that NGTC has earned this recognition.

The ranking places NGTC at the top of 25 Medical Assisting programs in Georgia and considers graduation rate, tuition price, admission rate, retention rate, number of students enrolled, and editorial staff ratings to determine the top programs.

Lanier Technical College in Gainesville placed second on the list of best MA schools in the state. Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro placed third.

Medical Assistant Advice has served medical assisting students and professionals since 2012 and offers current information regarding education and career statistics to help guide students.

“We are so honored to be named the number one Medical Assisting program in the state,” says NGTC Health Sciences Department Chair Stacie Bohannon. “We strive to provide our students with the best education possible, and we take great pride in the quality of our program and graduates.”

“We are very proud of our Medical Assisting students and faculty,” says NGTC Dean for Academic Affairs Christy Bivins. “This distinction reinforces the type of graduates North Georgia Technical College sends to our workforce. Our faculty members are also graduates of our own Medical Assisting program which emphasizes the tradition of excellence spanning over generations of students.”
