NGTC Foundation welcomes new board members

The North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) Foundation has announced four new appointments to its Board of Trustees: Erik Brinke, Mark Henson, Sidney Roland III, and Jeremy Spradlin.

Brinke is from Murphy, North Carolina. He has over 30 years of experience in workforce and economic development and business management. He has served in various positions with Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Corporation for over 20 years and is currently the Director of Administrative Services and External Relations.

Henson is a lifelong resident of Fannin County. He began his education career as a paraprofessional and has served in numerous positions, including teacher, principal, curriculum director, transportation director, and superintendent. He retired after 30 years with the Fannin County Board of Education and served on the Fannin County Board of Assessors.

A graduate of Habersham Central High School, Piedmont College, Georgia Banking School, and Louisiana State University, Roland has 44 years of experience as a community banker. He is currently the Project Manager for Traditions Bank, where he is leading a project to build a new Clarkesville office. He has served on numerous boards and is active in the community, serving at River Point Community Church where he is a founding member.

Spradlin, a graduate of Toccoa Falls College, has held a variety of positions with Georgia Power Company since 2000. He began as an apprentice lineman, and has since moved through the ranks to become the Clayton/Cornelia area manager. He currently represents GPC in Banks, Habersham, Rabun, and White Counties.

“We are very thankful Erik, Jeremy, Mark, and Sidney have joined our Foundation Board of Trustees and bring strong community ties to our fundraising efforts for North Georgia Tech,” said NGTC Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Marketing and NGTC Foundation Director Amy Hulsey. “They all have a strong commitment to workforce development for our service area, and we are very appreciative of their willingness to serve to continue making improvements for our students and our college.”
